You can take pictures of the garden
Get on the Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka and change to the limited express Yakumo Izumo city in Okayama and get off at Yasugi. The journey takes about three and a half hours. All trains stop in Okayama and Yasugi. There is a free pick-up bus from Yasugi Station.
You can watch carefully if you have two hours
There are discounts for groups and people with disabilities.
It seems that there is a Lake Shinji lake sightseeing boat.
It seems that it will be closed on November 12th and 13th November 6th and 7th because of the display change only in the new building.
There is a raw hot spring.
It may still be on time.
Japanese garden rain shower garden was also great I wanted to see the colors of the four seasons
The garden is great. The garden seen from the space of the building is a picture.
Museum of modern Japanese art, several galleries. You follow a marked route around the allows you to also stop and admire the Gardens. Spectacular example of a pristine Japanese garden. You view from behind glass, with the occasional outdoor platform the allows you to experience some of the smells and atmosphere. We were told that the small group of gardeners inspect every morning and remove even the smallest specks and dying leaves. Personally I prefer to get up close and integrate with nature, not view it from behind glass.
Highly recommended. Don't pass it off because it's out of the way from central matsue. Very beautiful Japanese gardens. Unlike others where you walk in, this you will admire from behind windows and behind fences.
You need at least two hours to enjoy the whole area. The Japanese garden is really well worth the award they have received for 16 consecutive years as number one Japanese garden. We went in end of July which is summer. The garden is lush green with nice settings and forms. Don’t miss this place if you are in the area.
Great Japanese garden and also Art is very good as well
It's beautiful. The garden was calm and relaxing. With exhibits of paintings too. Worth the long trip from okayama
Beautiful place. Worth the trip!
A fantastic place. The museum in itself compete with the like of tokyo or osaka, but the addition of the garden is just melting your troubles and put your mind at peace. What a blast ! Thanks
A must go if you love Japanese garden. With excellent view to the garden, it is so relaxed to have a cup of coffee at the cafe inside the museum. Highly recommended.
Very beautiful garden. You need to follow the visitor trail to enjoy the beautiful view, cannot get inside since it will break the plants. Photos are allowed for take in the garden, but not allowed to take photos of the exhibition in the art museum
We loved visiting the museum. The indoor outdoor space is beautifully crafted for the visitor to experience both art and the magical gardens. The gardens are not accessible but can be viewed from different angles. The museum store is worth a stop as well.
It took a few hours to get here, was it worth it to spend less time to look thru glasses of this beautifully manicured picturistic garden? The answer is yes if you treat this as art and consider the amount of details and careful work that goes into it by so many people. Each season is different. Though man made, it was so artistic, peaceful and calming. Spring and fall are the best time to visit. Try to spend some quality time in the cafe to enjoy!
You’ll see a beautiful Japanese garden here. Well organized and spacious garden is breathtaking. Other exhibitions are also good. It’s not must to go but recommended place in Shimane.
Awe inspiring garden. Never seen it's equal. Worth the trip.
